Tips For Family Portraits Photography

Health Parenting No Comments »

There are many reasons why you should know how to take group pictures or family portraits. Often times, people want their picture taken on the fly and it’s not feasible to have a professional photographer take them.

Every family deserves to have at least some good family portrait together but it’s nice to have additional portraits as the family grows and ages. The best way to learn to take portraits is to practice on your own family or friends! And don’t forget to get in the picture too, if you’re taking your own family portrait! So be sure to use a camera with a remote shutter button release and a timer.

If you’re just learning photography, then taking portraits will also help refine your other photographic skills.

Without further ado, here are some basic tips to help you get started taking memorable family portraits, whether formal or informal.

1) Avoid the “Police Line Up” Portrait – Instead of having everyone stand shoulder to shoulder, try a more varied arrangement that makes it easier to have everyone fit nicely into the picture.

Lesson In Speed Reading

ACCELERATED PACING METHOD:

Hand movements can cause you to accelerate your reading speed. We’ll shortly teach you hand movements that will accelerate your reading ability. Try each one and see which suits you best.

BASIC METHOD:

The basic pacing movement uses your index finger of your dominant hand, i.e. right handed use right hand, to scan a line by running your finger under the type you are reading. Always turn the page with the unused, non-dominant hand. Don’t move your head, keep it still.

The process is simple. You’ll replace all your bad habits with one easily learned one: You’ll use your pacing hand. Here’s how it breaks each of these habits automatically while it increases your reading speed.

We did experiments in Hawaii, New Mexico, Florida, and elsewhere. It appears that those with the slowest speaking rates have naturally slow reading rates. With this method, your speaking rate will no longer restrict your reading speed. You will read as fast as you can think. Yes, you can read as fast as your mind can work.

Now the method to begin pacing across a line faster than you can form the sounds in your throat:

From Day One – Learning How To Be A Speed Reader

Health Parenting No Comments »

Be Dynamic Through Speed Reading method, by Dr. Jay Polmar, is designed for those who read large volumes of printed material. Sometimes they get frustrated when they can’t keep up with all the intriguing literature that is released. Authors around the world produce printed data and fiction, at a rate so phenomenal, that even the most avid of readers struggle to keep up. With our DYNAMIC SPEED READING method, you’ll easily be able to read twice to three times the amount you now read in the same time.

The human brain/mind is capable of comprehending and cataloging from 10,000 to 50,000 units of information every minute (one unit being equal to one word) and this is based upon old statistics. Based on the new technologies in education and strides in self-development, your brain/mind is capable of much more.

The human body is a vehicle that records various senses and transfers them to the brain/mind. The brain/mind acts like a computer. Perhaps the brain/mind is the body’s operational computer to make easier for us to learn. We learn through information (data) which is transmitted in many ways. We receive data through our five physical senses, and our brain/mind makes decisions, choices and judgments from those factors.

Are Your Children Entrepreneurs with Financial Literacy?

Health Parenting No Comments »

If you are successful you have taken control of your own life and destiny. You are ahead of the curve, but are your children? Are you expecting them to learn what they need to succeed in school?

Visit a kindergarten class and you will see excited children jumping up and down. “Pick me!” they yell, ready to learn and volunteer for everything. Now picture these children ten year later. They’re sleeping in class, they don’t care. They won’t even look at their teacher in the eyes. What happened? These children’s loss for learning is startling. Their love for knowledge and enthusiasm for life has been challenged or lost entirely.

Whether we like it or not, traditional education today is still teaching our children to become good employees — rather than creative entrepreneurs. In fact, creativity is often labeled as rebellion. What’s the difference?

Employees live for paychecks. Entrepreneurs live for results. Employees watch the clock. Entrepreneurs watch the bottom line.

Ignite your child’s entrepreneurial spirit starting today. Your own business or profession is a perfect platform for educating your children about business and financial independence.

Planning An Intervention For Your Drug Addicted Teen

Health Parenting No Comments »

Many families in society today deal with the very difficult experience of teen drug abuse in their home. It is more and more common for teens today to become addicted to drugs and find themselves in need of teen treatment. With the use of drugs among our children’s role models so common in today’s times, and the powerful effect peer pressure has on your son or daughter it is no surprise that an increase in teen drug abuse is nearly certain.

Most warning signs of teen drug abuse are tough for parents to pick up on. A good example of this would be the actions your adolescent will display in not wanting to make you a part of their life. Don’t all teenagers display this behavior though? They do, but when your son or daughter is addicted to drugs they will do this with even more certainty. When you aren’t allowed to have any involvement in their life, chances are they are hiding something and it is probably drug use.

Health Parenting No Comments »

Every corner and cranny of your home was comforting when suddenly, an offer of a new beginning came knocking on your door. Straightaway, you saw your tainted curtains, your dull furniture, and your boring lay-out. You remembered one quotation, “Do not do for tomorrow what you can do for today.” Weird as it may seem, this quote turned more real to you than at any time that you have been a mother to three beautiful kids. Being the mother, you figured out that you are the only one who can do it; the one who has got the eye of the tiger for details. You hesitated; but were innervated when you have recalled seeing shows in the television and learning much about it on magazines. In a brief moment you told yourself: My cognizance is enough! What you want to do finally came out, encapsulated in one word: renovation!

Temper Tantrums in Toddlers

Health Parenting No Comments »

From time to time every toddler throws a temper tantrum, and it is always a good one. If you happen to have the knack for parenting you will be able to stop a temper tantrum almost as soon as it has started. Some parents attempt to stop the temper tantrum by giving in to anything that their child wants. However it is best to let the temper tantrum go through with the steps that it needs to take.

Temper tantrums range from whining and crying to screaming, kicking, hitting, and breath holding. They’re equally common in boys and girls, and can start without notice.

Kids’ temperaments vary dramatically – so some kids may experience regular tantrums, whereas others have them rarely. They’re a normal part of development and don’t have to be seen as something negative. Unlike adults, kids don’t have the same inhibitions or control.

When a child is between the ages of two to five years old temper tantrums will start. Prior to putting a halt on temper tantrums you will first need to figure out why they have started. First of all you need to keep in mind that your toddler may be hungry because they do eat less then an adult and more frequently. You need to show by modeling that temper tantrums are not productive. Also remember that when your toddler has many different options this allows them to feel as though they are in control preventing any temper tantrums.

Baby Monitors And Handheld Phones: Ideas to Fix Disturbance

Health Parenting No Comments »

Household gadgets that function wirelessly have a tendency to pose several interference problems. The most common culprits behind such tight spots are none other than baby monitors and cellular telephones. Obviously, deciding to reduce one device in favor of the other is certainly out of the question.

What is Handheld Interference?

Disturbance may appear in the form of buzzing, static or irksome sounds. In addition to that, baby monitors that come with a video monitoring feature may also suffer from a fuzzy reception. Another annoying part of the whole disturbance dilemma is the fact that you could sometimes pick up your neighbor’s phone conversations on your baby monitor – and vice versa. This makes it even more difficult for you to hear or decode the sounds that are coming from your baby’s room.

How to fix Handheld Interference?

As bothersome as these interference problems may be, they are by no means without a solution. Here are some tips on how to avoid or, at least, minimize the nuisance of interfering handheld signals in your home.

1. Factor in your cellular phone.
